It shows pictures of babies born as early as 18 weeks. It is short. It is powerful. A meaningful way to introduce a difficult topic. When we are instructing care providers about the needs of bereaved parents, the impact is stronger when we can move the discussion from merely an intellectual talk to one that helps us see if for only a moment, the impact this issue has on the bereaved family. There’s no reason for us to teach grief, if we aren’t willing to deal with the emotions that accompany this topic. The topic isn’t meant to be easy.
