Life and Death Support Cards
A lot of us go through life assuming there are still plenty of opportunities to ask questions of our loved ones, or we have lots of time to tell people what our thoughts are about living, dying and death. But sometimes the end comes quickly and we never got around to asking or telling. These questions are for all of us to reflect on or to start conversations with. We don’t have to wait till we know we are dying to use these cards. And if we are sitting with a friend or relative who are in the throes of the end of their life they might just welcome you wanting to know what’s important to them. Use these cards for yourself, with your family, with your friends, as you journal.
Modeled after the Grief Support Cards, these cards are specifically designed to help us process our feelings about life and death. Each pack includes 100 questions or statements meant to help us on our journey.
Examples of questions posed include: "Who is important to me - and who am I important to?" "What is the difference between living and existing?" "What is my greatest fear around dying and death?" "Do I want to be involved in planning my own memorial service?" and "If I have to make a choice of either being pain free or alert, which would I choose?"
